For this painting I was inspired by the upward ascent of this tree as it moved towards the light. This realisation reflected my own spiritual journey and gave meaning to me. I'm fascinated by the trees and in particular the singularity of their goal. I too wish to go about my journey with the same steady conviction, determination and surrender.
