Artist Statement
Prasad's artwork is an exploration of his imagination, instigated by his creative response to the abstract ink forms he describes as 'marbling'. He draws inspiration from his childhood spent in the foothills of the Himalayas, steeped in the lore of ancient traditions and mythological tales, Prasad's art reflects a deep connection to his cultural heritage. Through his daily practice of meditation, he delves into the depths of his consciousness, shedding preconceptions to allow the collective unconscious to shape his creative vision. The result is a body of work that transcends the temporal confines of the present moment, delving into the eternal truths that underlie our existence. Rooted in the timeless wisdom of ancient myths and legends, Prasad's art serves as a poignant reminder of the underlying reality that perpetually unfolds, offering profound insights into the hidden realms of the imagination and the soul.
